Hitman Contracted to Xbox 360
No doubt it'll be the best looking version on offer, but what else will it bring? First HD screens.
He's bald, he's brutal, and pretty soon Agent 47 will be beautiful too. Eidos announced recently that everyone's favourite glabrous assassin is in for an upgrade as Hitman: Blood Money jumps to Xbox 360.
That the game is coming to the next generation isn't nearly as surprising as that it seems to have been in development alongside the current generation versions all along. Eidos has scheduled the high-definition upgrade for release around the same time as the other versions.
But what does this mean for exclusive content built with the new box in mind? So far, outside of empty promises of the game "fully utilising" the power of the Xbox 360, there's no much to go on.
Neil Donnell at developer IO Interactive says the Xbox 360 is the "ideal platform" for the game, which hopefully does not equate to the shoehorning we've already seen as publishers add one more platform to games already in development.
Either way, we'll find out soon enough. Hitman: Blood Money is out for Xbox, PlayStation 2, PC and Xbox 360 this spring.
