No Console Crysis for Now
If you want to get at CryTek's hot new game, you're going to have to pay up for a high-end PC.
Console owners agape after the technology demos seen in Far Cry developer CryTek's new PC shooter Crysis and waiting for the announcement of a next-gen port better ready themselves for disappointment.
The developer has gone on record saying that it has no plans to tweak the game for current or next-generation consoles - at least not right now.
"It crossed our minds but we're sticking with PC," said CryTek boss Cervat Yerli when asked by CVG whether a port was on the cards.
"One thing about our company is that we want to focus, we don't want to do multiple things, we want to do one thing and do it well. PC is our focus right now, we were born there and we want to showcase what we can do there, before we made any move onto consoles."
Crysis is a new shooter that puts you as part of an elite squad (natch) tasked with saving the Earth from invading alien beings. The game has made waves over the last month thanks to an impressive showing at the recent Game Developers Conference.
