Hitman to Strike in May
Agent 47's long-delayed outing finally has a release date. Start polishing your barrels.
Agent 47's latest game, Hitman: Blood Money, is by this stage quite late. It was originally planned for release in spring 2005, but that came and went without the game arriving. The wait is, however, nearly over, as Eidos has revealed the game will be here at the end of May.
Hitman: Blood Money marks several firsts for the popular assassin's series. The titular money is a new gameplay element that rewards you for kills by letting you spend your earnings however you choose. There's also a new storyline, as Agent 47 heads to America to take out rival assassins who have been offing his fellow hitmen at the ICA.
You'll need to be extra cautious in how you approach your marks as a new notoriety system will make your life hard if you simply walk in to mow down your victims. Get spotted while taking care of business and your face could be on the front page, and that will make it easier for people to recognize you.
But the most obvious difference will be in the quality of the experience - at least for next-gen gamers. Hitman: Blood Money is the first game in the series to be released on the Xbox 360.
Hitman: Blood Money will be out across Europe for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and Xbox on 30 May in the US, four days after the European debut. For more on the game, check out its official site.
