Dragon Ball Duo Headed to PS2
Rejoice, fans of big hair. There's a lot more coming your way this year. New screens for both games.
Many people are baffled by the popularity of the Dragon Ball franchise but there's no denying that the fighting series turns a lot of heads. And it's with this in mind that Atari has revealed another two games based on the series coming to the PlayStation 2.
First up is Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, which builds slightly on to the roaring success of the first game. Whether it's the 100 characters, 15 3D-levels or nine game modes that draws you, there's sure to be something to please just about any Dragon Ball fan.
Next up for the franchise is something a little different. Atari calls Super DBZ the first true arcade fighter in the series and as such it features a host of violence and an array of technical combination moves. The direction may be new for the series, but Atari has brought in Crafts & Meister, a studio headed by Street Fighter II veteran Noritaka Funamizu, to handle the transition.
Super DBZ will be out for PlayStation 2 in May while Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is slated to hit sometime around November.
