Konami Preps Pro Evo 6 for E3
Konami's next FIFA-beater will be unveiled at E3.
The two main contenders in the world of video game football are at it again. With EA's latest FIFA games expected to be show up at the Electronic Entertainment Expo next month, Konami has fired its opening salvo with the announcement of Pro Evolution Soccer 6.
Fans of the series can breath easily knowing that series boss Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka is once again in charge of the proceedings.
Konami says Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will push the series past its "rivals" with ease, largely thanks to, "an impressive roster of new moves, licensed clubs, and gameplay modes".
The real question though is what platform(s) the game is coming to, something Konami has yet to comment on. It's a fair bet that the series will at last make the jump to the next generation, unlike Pro Evolution Soccer 5, which stayed in the current generation despite EA taking FIFA to the Xbox 360 last year already.
The game is due to be officially unveiled at E3, which runs from 10-12 May, marking the first time the series has been unveiled in the US.
