Marvel Heroes Save Next-Gen
The comic publisher's rich stable of characters is yours to manipulate. First next- and current-gen screens.
Part of the fun of massive comic worlds such as Marvel's is that there are hundreds of heroes to choose from. Games companies have usually stuck to just a core group of popular characters, but Activision is turning that idea on its head.
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is a new action RPG in the works by Raven Software, the acclaimed studio also working on eagerly awaited titles Quake IV and X-Men: The Official Game. What sets this latest Marvel game apart from what's come before is that the game features over 140 superheroes, 20 of which you'll be able to control directly, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and Captain America.
The game comes with a branching storylines that reacts to your decisions, so the missions you choose to do and how you complete them will decided the fate of the Marvel Universe.
"Marvel: Ultimate Alliance delivers a new twist on action/RPGs where players' actions and choices ultimately determine what happens to the Marvel universe," said Activision's Will Kassoy. "This coupled with the game's enormous character roster will deliver an action-packed experience that comic book fans have been waiting for."
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is due later this year and will be out for all next-gen systems as well as current platforms and PC.
