Codemasters Brings Evil Overlord to 360
New series lets you choose between being evil and...more evil. First HD screens.
A lot of games these days let you choose between being good or evil, but only Codemasters' upcoming PC and next-gen action adventure game swaps in a more evil option for that pesky good one.
Overlord is steeped in tongue-in-cheek humour. The game asks you to become the ruling overlord of the realm by controlling hordes of minions who are all too eager to live and die for you.
The game is in the works at independent developer Triumph Studios, which previously worked on the Age Of Wonders. The team has dug deep into fantasy lore to create what it calls a seriously warped world.
"Overlord comes loaded with innovative and compelling game mechanics wrapped in a scenario that's played out with plenty of black humour," says Codemasters' Barry Jafrato. "We're delighted to be working with Triumph on the title, bringing something fresh and original to next-generation gamers."
Overlord will be out for PC and Xbox 360 in summer 2007.
