EA Brings Sports and More to E3
Sports obviously feature prominently in EA's show line-up, but there's a whole lot more to be excited about too. Full details inside.
Mega-publisher EA is used to having things its own way but lately it has suffered a few setbacks. Whether it's having to delay The Godfather or more recently Superman Returns: The Videogame or losing the Bond contract and facing battles in court, things could be better. But the company is looking beyond that and concentrating on the games, specifically the ones that will be on show at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
The line-up includes many of the biggest series in video games at the moment, including new games in the Madden, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, and FIFA series. Sports games will remain a big part of the company's offerings in the next-generation, and it's even tailoring a few games specifically to unconventional hardware such as the Wii, which is getting its own Madden game.
Outside of sports, EA will be showing off Spore, the eagerly awaited new game from Sims creator Will Wright. And if planetary evolution isn't your thing, there's still Far Cry developer Crytek's new game, Crysis, the newly revealed two-man action game Army of Two and a new Command & Conquer game to look forward to.
Below is a list of the games EA has confirmed will be at E3 next week:
