Bizarre Joins The Club for Sega
The Project Gotham Racing developer sets out to prove that it's not just a house for driving games. First art.
Project Gotham Racing developer Bizarre Creations has built a name for itself in driving game circles, but that's not to say that is all the company has to offer. To prove the point, the company has ended the hint-dropping and revealed its latest game for Sega.
The Club is a third-person game based in an underground community where people get their jollies from the misfortunes of others. As you progress you'll cling to life as you fight to escape the misguided sport and its proponents. Think Running Man without the bad accents.
The premise may not be wholly original but at least Bizarre is aiming high for the gameplay. The company says it will "redefine and refresh the mechanics of 3rd person action shooters", just as it's done in the past with racers.
Despite the company's allegiance to Microsoft of late, Bizarre's revelation that it's working on the game for "next-gen platforms" suggests that Sega will publish the game on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The Club is tentatively slated for release in 2007 and will make a behind-closed-doors showing at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo.
