Resident Evil Evolves for Wii
Capcom's flagship series is coming to the Wii with a new control scheme built around the Wiimote.
Nintendo fans were hit hard by Capcom's announcement last year that it would be bringing Resident Evil 5 to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 only, especially considering that Capcom went to the trouble of bringing all the previous games in the series to the GameCube.
But that envy is now gone with the news that Capcom is working on a game in the series for Nintendo's new system.
There are no details yet for Resident Evil for Wii, though Capcom has said that the game is a new entry in the series and will be built around the motion-sensing Wii controller, according to an article at GameSpot.
Outside of that we don't really know much about the game at all. It's possible that it will be a remake of an earlier game with Wii controller capabilities thrown in, much like the first title in the series for the DS, Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, was a remake of the first game built around stylus control.
