Halo 3 Multiplayer in Testing
Bungie hints that development is coming along nicely. Good news for SD gamers too. And a new screenshot!
Microsoft made a somewhat expected splash when it showed the first trailer for Halo 3 on Xbox 360 earlier this month. Though the brief clip didn't have any gameplay, Microsoft's Peter Moore said the demo was done in real-time.
Fans of Master Chief are getting antsy now, pushing to get more in-game stuff released. That may or may not be coming soon, but Microsoft has tacitly confirmed that things are coming along nicely in the game.
One of the biggest parts of Halo 2 was the online multiplayer, which is still rampantly popular today. Now comes word that developer Bungie is already squirreling away on the online play in Halo 3.
According to a post on Bungie's site, the developer is doing daily tests on the game's multiplayer modes, though with pre-final graphics used as placeholders. The post also says that Bungie is doing extensive testing on normal TVs, so those of you waiting to get on the high-definition train won't have to worry about missing out on the experience.
Microsoft has kept quiet with details about Halo 3, only recently acknowledging its existence. The game is planned for release only on Xbox 360 sometime in 2007.
