Lost Found on Consoles and PC
Let's hope it is less of a tease than the show is.
If you play the numbers "4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42" on the lottery every week or you find yourself constantly wondering what's inside that hatch, you may be interested to know that Ubisoft is working on a game based on the sensational and mystery-laden TV show Lost.
Fittingly, we're being drip-fed details about the game at the moment, though we do know that you're not going to be replaying what you've already seen. Rather, the game gives Ubisoft and Touchstone the chance to "tell new interactive stories within the Lost universe," according to the show's producer, Bryan Burk.
The news marks another bold foray for Ubisoft into licensed properties. After building up its name again through award winning series such as Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia, Ubisoft is becoming more aggressive about going after existing licenses.
Recently the company worked on a video game adaptation of Peter Jackson's King Kong remake that sought to do away with the stigma that has come to be associated with licensed games over the years.
Ubisoft hasn't said yet which platforms the game is being developed for, though it has commented that it's coming to home and portable consoles and PC, meaning it will probably see just as wide a release as King Kong.
Lost is in its second season now on Channel 4 in the UK. If you feel like catching up on what's happened, you can watch past episodes at the station's official site.
