Dogs and Zombies Nab Awards
Capcom and Nintendo pick up design pencils from UK charity outfit. Seriously.
Zombies and puppies seldom go together but D&AD, a UK charity that is concerned with recognising excellence in creativity, has deemed both worthy of accolade. The organisation recently gave Yellow Pencil awards to Resident Evil 4 and Nintendogs.
Victory for Capcom's Resident Evil 4 will be sweet, seeing as how the game missed out on several top awards this year. In one instance the zombie thriller lost out because it wasn't nominated while in another Sony's God of War, which was also nominated by D&AD, crushed it.
Apart from Nintendogs, Resident Evil 4 and God of War, the only other game nominated by D&AD was Activision's Call of Duty 2.
This is the first time in the 43 years that D&AD has been handing out its Pencils that games have been taken into consideration for the awards.
