MS Adds to Backward Compatible List
The hangman is drawing nearer for the Xbox. Lego Star Wars and 20 other Xbox games are now playable on your Xbox 360.
Just days after Microsoft's Peter Moore reiterated the company's ultimate goal for backward compatibility of getting all Xbox games playing on the Xbox 360, the company has revealed more than 20 games that you'll be able to enjoy on the new system.
The 21-strong list (see below) has games from throughout the Xbox's lifespan and includes a few hit games, such as Lego Star Wars, Doom 3 and RalliSport Challenge. To get your Xbox 360 up to date, you can either go on Xbox Live or download a patch from Xbox.com
Moore told Xbox Live's Larry Hryb recently that the emulation team at Microsoft is working hard to get all games from the previous system working.
Microsoft has turned to software emulation - updated regularly through Xbox Live - to play Xbox games on the Xbox 360 to overcome the hardware differences between the two.
Backward compatibility has been in the news a lot lately after Moore told Kikizo in May that "nobody is concerned" about it.
