Sony Parking Ridge Racer PSP Sequel
The company confirms it will be bringing Namco Bandai's driver to Europe. First screens.
Word first slipped out last month that Namco Bandai was working on a second Ridge Racer game on the PSP. It seemed logical, considering that the first game was one of the more popular games at the system's launch, but there was still that niggling lack of official confirmation for release outside Japan. No more.
Sony has confirmed that it will be bringing Namco Bandai's racer to the PSP in Europe later this year.
The official announcement carries little in the way of details but it does promise that the game will offer three times as much gameplay as its predecessor. And considering the amount of time it took to unlock all the classes in that game, driving game fans should be able to look forward to a whole lot of racing.
Some of the new features Namco Bandai confirmed last month include 18 tracks plucked from the first four games in the series and a few new game modes. The game will again support wireless play with up to eight players over local networks. Namco Bandai hasn't said anything about online play yet.
There's no specific release date attached to the project, but you can expect Ridge Racer 2 to arrive sometime this autumn.
