Little Love for DS Until November
Nintendo's current-system release list for the rest brings ill tidings for those hoping for summer respite.
Nintendo has been a roll lately, what with the DS having overtaken the PSP to be the best selling handheld in the UK and software for the system making regular showings on the weekly sales charts. The end of the year is going to be a time of joy again for DS owners, as new games bring new experience. Don't expect too much before then, though.
According to Nintendo's own shipping schedule, its next game for the DS will be 42 All-Time Classics. This collection of classic board and card games is due at the end of September, and it will be followed a couple weeks later by the latest self-improvement game by Nintendo, English Training: Have Fun Improving Your Skills.
It's only in November that the real fun begins when the latest Pokémon game lands, alongside Mario foray into basketball in Mario Slam Basketball.
Nintendo also reminded us that its other two tiers, the Game Boy Advance and the GameCube, aren't completely dead yet.
It should be noted that Nintendo is, of course, not ignoring the living room. The company is launched the Wii later this year too - in October, if recent rumours turn out to be true.
