Rockstar Trickles Vice City PSP Info
it's coming in October and there's not much more we know. We do, however, have the box art.
Where would the PSP be without Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories? It's an interesting question with no easily provable answer (and one Sony would probably rather not think about). But there's no doubting that the game has been important to Sony's handheld in the West. Good news, then, that the second PSP game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, is coming along well.
Rockstar has been characteristically stoic about the whole thing, but they have released the official box art, and that's getting people excited about the idea of several characters from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City "returning" in what seems to be a prequel.
Apart from the slivers of usefulness - younger versions of Cuban baddie Umberto Robina and moustachioed biker "Big Mitch Baker" feature, according to GameSpot's sleuthing - there's also the not-as-welcome news that the game will carry a full price of $49.99 in the US - the same as full-priced current-gen console games. In the UK, the game will cost £35.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is clearly being funnelled down the same promotional pipeline as its forebear, as Rockstar has not given us much solid info about the game. We do know that it will be out for PSP on 17 October in the US and 20 October across Europe.
