Metal Gear Solid Sneaks in to Leipzig
A clutch of Kojima games have been confirmed for next month's Game Convention.
Last year's Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, was given a vote of confidence when Konami showed off one of the most eagerly awaited games at the time - Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Series creator Hideo Kojima isn't confirmed to be there again this year (not yet at least), but a handful of his games will be.
Topping the pile is the latest in Kojima's most loved franchise. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots won't be there in playable form, but if the video shown at May's Electronic Entertainment Expo are anything to go by, it could be special nonetheless.
Other Kojima games confirmed for the show include Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (the first true Metal Gear Solid game on PSP), Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (featuring online multiplayer on PS2), and Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel (as the name implies, a semi-animated comic that plays out on the PSP).
It's not all Metal Gear stuff. Konami is also bringing to the show Lunar Knights - a Boktai-esque DS game that has authentic weather effects.
Games Convention 2006 runs from 24-27 August. Find out all about it at the event's home page.
