Rockstar has sent word that it has put up a demo for its Xbox 360 ping-pong game. The demo for Rockstar Presents Table Tennis features just two of the characters (Mark and Liu Ping) and one of the venues (China's National Table Tennis Auditorium) from the game. It's available now through the Xbox Live Marketplace.
It may seem odd to read the words ping-pong and Grand Theft Auto creator Rockstar in the same sentence, but apparently the team at its San Diego development studio - whose previous credits include the Smuggler's Run and Midnight Club series - is into the sport in a big way.
Rockstar Presents Table Tennis was released earlier this year already. It flirted with the top of the charts for a couple weeks and then steadily dropped off.
There have been rumours that the Rockstar Advanced Graphics Engine that powers the action in the game will be used in Grand Theft Auto IV but the company has so far refused to comment either way.
