Master Chief's Face Plastered on Xbox 360
A faceplate is the only way you're going to have the super soldier on your Xbox 360 this year. Picture inside.
The trickle of information coming out of developer Bungie about the third Halo instalment is bordering on unbearable. Fans are salivating over every scrap of information about the new game, and every screenshot is pored over to extract as much out of it as possible. All of which means there's no better time to cash in on that excitement.
Bungie said this week that it would be putting out a Master Chief-emblazoned faceplate for the Xbox 360 in October. The faceplate (pictured) sports "Master Chief in a classic pose set to a blue backdrop decorated with Forerunner geometry," according to Bungie.
The Master Chief faceplate will be out in the US sometime in October - 24 October, according to online retailer EB Games - for around $20. There's no word yet on the fate of the faceplate outside of the US, though it's probably only a matter of time until it's confirmed.
As for the green-suited star's next adventure in Halo 3, that's still on track for release on the Xbox 360 in 2007, when Halo 3 will bring closure to the current trilogy.
