Street Fighter II Punched Onto Live Arcade
More than half a year after it was first announced, Capcom's fighter classic is finally yours to download.
The Xbox Live Arcade has been something of a surprise success for Microsoft, and publishers and developers are scrambling to climb aboard. The latest game to make it online is also the most eagerly awaited. We're talking, of course, about Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting.
Capcom's fighting classic takes you back to a time where skills were all that matters. You'll be able to play in the traditional singleplayer and multiplayer modes, but the biggest draw is Xbox Live play.
There are a few ways to play online. You can challenge people directly, or you can use the new Quarter Mode, which tries to recreate the arcade-style play where you winner of a game takes on the next challenger.
Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is available right now on the Xbox Live Arcade. If you're unsure whether you're ready to pay 800 Microsoft Points (around £7) for a 16-year-old game, you'll be able to try it for free before committing.
Check out Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade page for more on the service.
