Dead Rising Demo Shuffles Online
Europeans have to wait another month for the game, but (just about) everyone can get a taste of it right now.
Outside of the still far off Resident Evil 5, the most eagerly awaited Capcom game must surely be the Dawn of the Dead>-esque zombie slayer Dead Rising. Americans will be taking delivery of the game next week already, but Capcom has put together a little something to keep the rest of us occupied until the European release next month.
This morning, after much taunting that it would, Capcom finally put up a demo for Dead Rising on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The demo, which is available everywhere except Mexico, Germany, Australia, New Zealand or Asia, weighs in at around 1 GB and covers just 15 minutes of gameplay in one area of the expansive mall that serves as the setting for the adventure.
The buzz surrounding the game is a direct result of the darkly comedic tone given the zombie killing gameplay. Just about anything that you can pick up in the mall can be used as a weapon of sorts, whether that's using a golf club in a traditional way or a shower head in one that's decidedly not.
Dead Rising is out in America on 8 August, but Europeans will need to wait until 8 September.
