Street Fighter Storms Into Arcade
Fastest selling game on the service, or so says Capcom.
Everything old is new again, or at least it will be if other game companies try to repeat the success Capcom is seeing with its latest Xbox Live Arcade game. While Microsoft's service is home to several original games, it's the 16-year-old Street Fighter II that is leading the pack for now.
According to Capcom's numbers, Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is the fastest selling game on the Xbox Live Arcade. Quite what this means, though, is unclear, since no numbers were mentioned, save for "thousands" of users flocking online and "hundreds" of games being played every hour in the first 24 hours.
Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting debuted on the Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, 2 August, after months of delays. The game was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in January and missed several release dates.
It is available now at the Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points - around $10 or £5 in your real-world money.
