Gundam Stomps on to PS3 in '06
Big robots climb on to Sony's big console. Fresh screens.
The PlayStation 3 is a gigantic hulk of high technology that looks like it was plucked straight right of the future - very much like the building-sized robots in Namco-Bandai's new Gundam game for the system.
Mobile Suit Gundam thrusts you into the cockpit of several giant mechs during the tail end of One Year War. Whether you join the Federation of the Zeon Mobile Suit Assault Force is up to you. Once you've chosen a faction, you'll wage angry robot war with a team at your command.
Namco Bandai said this week that the game will be arriving later this year, and, considering that the PlayStation 3 arrives in November, that implies the game should be there for launch or soon afterwards.
The company says the game, "will surely excite any sci-fi fan". We'll have to wait and see about that.
