Bullet Witch Casts Spell on Xbox 360
Cavia's sexy, post-apocalyptic shooter is coming to Europe courtesy of Atari.
Boots, helmet, and camouflage-patterned fatigues - these are the sartorial items you usually associate with urban warfare. But if new Japanese Xbox 360 shooter Bullet Witch takes hold, armies around the world could soon be donning hopelessly impractical frocks to do their killing.
Developed by Cavia, the same people responsible for the reptilian antics in Square Enix's Drakengard series, Bullet Witch does, somewhat strangely, exactly what it says on the box.
You play the messianic matron of magick Alicia, a talented woman who will just as readily bolt you with lightning as she will blow your brains out, all in the name of helping humanity claw its way back in the face of demonic invasion.
Forget subtlety, Bullet Witch is all about the promise of mass carnage. You'll destroy all manner of magical beasties while downing erections that dot the post-apocalyptic 2013 landscape.
Xbox Live integration seems minimal so far, stretching only so far as an expanding wardrobe and other downloadable tchotchkes.
At first it seemed liked Bullet Witch would skip right past Europe, but Atari, which recently sold the Driver franchise and its development team to Ubisoft, has formed a partnership with Japanese publisher AQ Interactive. Neither party has indicated when we can expect Bullet Witch to flaunt its wily charms in Europe.
