Lethal New Star Wars Game for DS, PSP
Ubisoft preps an original game for PSP and DS for later this year. First screens inside.
The tagline in the press release for Ubisoft's new Star Wars game for PSP and DS is "The fate of the galaxy is in your hands". Needless hyperbole, certainly, but the game does fill an important hole in the overarching Star Wars mythos.
Star Wars: Lethal Alliance tells the untold story, set between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, of Twi'lek Rianna Saren and her security droid Zeeo and how they came to be involved in uncovering the existence of the Empire's doom bringer, the Death Star.
This is the first original portable Star Wars game, so Ubisoft's development teams in Montreal (working on the PSP version) and Casablanca (DS) are taking extra care to mould it on the capabilities of the handhelds. One of the biggest themes here is multiplayer, with an emphasis on cooperative play between the two characters.
Expect to see familiar locales and recognizable faces in Star Wars: Lethal Alliance. Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Alderaan and Tattooine - they're all here.
Ubisoft is putting Star Wars: Lethal Alliance together for launch this December.
