F.E.A.R. Spreads to PlayStation 3
Vivendi's spooky shooter is coming to another platform, and it could be there for launch.
It's not just Xbox 360 owners who will soon be succumbing to F.E.A.R. Vivendi said on Thursday that it would be porting its shocking first-person shooter hit to the PlayStation 3. And it's coming right around the launch of the console.
Vivendi seems intent on giving F.E.A.R. a major push. It already caused waves when it was released late last year on PC, thanks to its spooky mix of tense storytelling and frenetic gunplay, and an Xbox 360 version was shown off at the Electronic Entertainment Expo earlier this year.
The company says it will have the PlayStation 3 version ready by November. The PlayStation 3 is due in Europe on 17 November.
And that's not all the F.E.A.R. news either. Vivendi also sent out a reminder this week that the multiplayer bits of the game, packaged as F.E.A.R. Combat, are now available as a free download from www.joinfear.com.
