Saints Row Demo Jacked 350,000 Times
THQ is buoyed by strong demo support ahead of the game's release, now just days away.
Whether you feel that THQ's Saints Row for the Xbox 360, with its more-realistic visuals and seemingly copycat gameplay, is sincerest flattery or simply a riff on the Grand Theft Auto formula, there's no denying that it's already quite popular.
The company recently put out a demo for the game on the Xbox Live Marketplace. According to THQ's numbers, that demo has been downloaded more than 350,000 times during its first week, says a report at Gamasutra. This would make it the most popular demo yet, but THQ's reckoning.
Whether that success will translate into hard cash is something we'll soon see. Saints Row is planned for release in Europe on 1 September - just a few days after its US release on 29 August.
You can find out more about the 18-rated game at THQ's Saints Row site.
