Eidos Delivers Just Cause Demo
Get a taste of regime change in Eidos's new Grand Theft Auto-'em-up.
Eidos's new PC and Xbox 360 game Just Cause tells a tale of Rico Rodriguez, a CIA specialist in regime change. While the game is ostensibly about Rodriguez's mission to overthrow the teetering government of San Esperito, the real selling point here is the Grand Theft Auto-esque free-roaming that lets you play how you want. And you can try it for free right now.
The demo for Just Cause, out now as a 640 MB download on Xbox Live Marketplace and available for PC from this evening at www.justcausedemo.com, lets you try out the core mechanics of the game on a custom-made island.
This is just a taste of the more than 300 missions you'll be able to play en route to democracy in the full game.
"Our overall vision for Just Cause is to create a realistic game world where players can unleash their creativity in order to bring down a regime using any means possible," says Christofer Sundberg of developer Avalanche. "We want to provide the player with close to endless opportunities to play missions, explore the world and perform stunts using land, sea and air transport."
