LucasArts Enlists Free Radical
Secrets all around as the next-gen-only developer signs up with the Star Wars publisher.
LucasArts may be thought of by many as the company that makes all those Star Wars games, but that doesn't mean it's afraid to expand. One of the ways the company is broadening its scope is by attracting outside developers, such as British studio Free Radical, which is making a new next-gen game for the company.
There's little we know about the game right now. Given the history of Free Radical, it's probable that it will be a first-person shooter of some sort - perhaps even a Star Wars one, considering LucasArts' involvement.
Free Radical was formed by ex-Rare developers in 1999. The company built its name through the TimeSplitters series. More recently, Free Radical has been working with Ubisoft on a new shooter called Haze.
