Brothers In Arms Invades the PSP
The World War II series is making the leap to the portable and bringing along a few new features in the process. First screens inside.
Publishers aren't stupid. They can see that there is a glut of World War II games out there. So Instead of making just another game set during the most pivotal era of the 20th century, Ubisoft has announced that it's making a World War II game with a difference: it's portable.
Brothers In Arms: D-Day, says Ubisoft, offers a unique gaming experience. How? Simple, it brings you the best stuff from the console instalments but built around the stop-'n'-go nature of the PSP.
You play as two characters: Sergeant Matt Baker, the paratrooper lead in Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30, and Sergeant Joe "Red" Hartsock, last seen heading the cast of Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood. Between the two of them you'll tackle the major skirmishes that took place during the Normandy campaign from which the game derives its title.
Bespoke content, as is the norm, takes the form of wireless multiplayer. Here you'll be able to play cooperatively through 12 skirmish missions.
Ubisoft's planning an autumn release for Brothers In Arms: D-Day. Find out more about the series at www.brothersinarmsgame.com
