Bully Goes Latin in Europe
Rockstar swaps the controversial title of its new school game for one that gamers probably will not remember.
Rockstar is no stranger to public outcry, but you have to wonder whether the company is starting to get a little tired of people bashing its upcoming game Bully before they've even had a real chance to look at it. In what appears to be a simplistic attempt to sidestep some of the criticism, the company has announced a rebranding of the game for Europe.
Bully isn't dead, but from now it will live on as Canis Canem Edit, according to Eurogamer. The new name is, apparently, Latin for the popular school- and battleground aphorism, dog eat dog.
Bully was due this October, leading some to ask whether the game would be delayed, but Rockstar says the game is still one track for release next month. Whether gamers will remember what it's called now when they're inside stores is something else entirely.
