Microsoft Brings Xbox Live Arcade Home
Geometry Wars and more will soon be available without requiring you to go online.
One of the more popular features of the Xbox 360 has been the Xbox Live Arcade. Unfortunately, while most Xbox 360 owners are online, there are still a lot of people who haven't yet plugged in to the broadband-only service. And that's why Microsoft is bringing some of its more popular Arcade games out in a new compilation disc.
Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1 includes six full games and three demos from the Xbox Live Arcade, giving you a good taste of the nearly-30 games on offer. Microsoft is also packing in a month of Xbox Live Gold membership - required for online play - to sweeten the deal.
The announcement is confirmation of rumours that flared up earlier in the year. It's fair to assume from the "Volume 1" part of the title that we'll be seeing more of these in the future, as the Arcade expands.
Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1 will be out on 15 September at a budget price of £25. Below is a list of the games included:
- Geometry Wars Retro Evolved
- Wik: Fable of Souls
- Outpost Kaloki X
- Bejewelled 2 Deluxe
- Hardwood Backgammon
- Texas Hold 'Em
- Uno (demo)
- Marble Blast Ultra (demo)
- Feeding Frenzy (demo)
