Dead Rising Chomps on UK Charts
The zombie-slasher from Capcom leads a charge by the Xbox 360 on unsuspecting Britons.
Sony is taking something of the a risk delaying the launch of the PlayStation 3 until next year, because it gives the Xbox 360 a chance to build up more of a lead. Proof that this could happen is smeared over the latest UK charts, which is dominated at the top end of the UK sales charts.
Topping the latest ranking is Capcom's hotly tipped zombie slayer, Dead Rising. The game, which sees you entering a zombie-infested town in the US for Dawn of the Dead-style shenanigans, edged out last week's top game, the also Xbox 360-exclusive Saints Row.
Also new this week is Test Drive Unlimited. Atari's new Xbox 360 instalment in the classic series that lets you navigate more than a thousand miles of Hawaiian roads.
Another title making waves is the massively multiplatform Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. Out for just about every console out there, the game takes the style that made the first game so surprisingly popular and applies it to the fan-favourite old trilogy of Star Wars flicks.
Below are the top 10 games in the UK for the week ending 9 September, as determined by Chart Track:
- Dead Rising (Capcom)
- Saints Row (THQ)
- Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (LucasArts)
- Test Drive Unlimited (Atari)
