Prince of Persia Leaps Again to PSP
Ubisoft has another of its big console games coming to the PSP. Is there any end in sight to the porting?
Just days after confirming that it's bringing Rainbow Six Vegas to the PSP in a game that parallels its bigger brother on next-gen consoles, Ubisoft has announced that it's bringing an enhanced version of Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones to the portable.
Prince of Persia: Rival Swords may be built on the bedrock of the recent Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, but it promises a few new things too. Chief among these are new, quick-access chariot combat levels for those spare seconds on the train, and also new multiplayer modes, where you pit the Prince and the Dark Price against one another.
Whether it's a sign that Europe is bigger on the PSP than the US or some sort of gesture of condolence on the heels of the delay of the PlayStation 3, Ubisoft has decided that, at least this time, Europe goes first. Prince of Persia: Rival Swords is due on PSP this Christmas, with a North American release to follow in 2007.
