LMA Manager Demo Takes to the Field
Codies shows what's in store for would-be managers.
To some they're interactive spreadsheets, while others say they get to the heart of football, taking you as deep into the sport as you could want to go. Whatever you think of football management games, you can't deny their popularity. Codemasters wants you to pick its game over the competition, and it's giving you a demo to see how it plays.
The full version of LMA Manager 2007 is out later this month, but PC and Xbox 360 owners will be able to sample its quirky delights right away in a new demo.
In the PC demo, you'll be able to choose a top-flight club from one of seven European leagues (including England), and take your men through half a season.
The Xbox 360 demo isn't quite as fleshed out, but rather puts you in charge of Liverpool for a match again Italian club Inter Milan at completed (virtually, at least) Wembley Stadium. Here the emphasis is on pitch action, and you'll be able to try out the 3D Match engine while guiding your team to victory on the day.
No Xbox 360? No problem; Codemasters has a cover mounted demo for the PlayStation 2 version coming with the new issue of Official PlayStation 2 Magazine.
You can get the PC demo at www.codemasters.co.uk/lma2007, while the Xbox 360 demo is up on the Xbox Live Marketplace. LMA Manager 2007 will be out on 22 September.
