Microsoft Brings TGS, X06 to Live
Xbox Live will again serve as a portal to faraway shows - as least as far as Microsoft news is concerned.
Attractive as the spaghetti power lines and dank humidity are, Tokyo's geographical location makes that it's not the most accessible city to most Europeans or Americans, which is doubly disheartening with the Tokyo Game Show now just days away. Fear not - Microsoft has you covered.
The company said on Monday that, just like it did for the Electronic Entertainment Expo this past May, it would be bringing not only the Tokyo Game Show but also the X06 conference to Xbox 360 owners right in their living rooms.
The coverage kicks off on Wednesday, 20 September, covering first the Tokyo Game Show, which runs from 22-24 September, and then X06, which runs from 27-28 September in Barcelona.
During the 10 days you'll get coverage of the major press briefings, updates on new games, and, perhaps most excitingly, demos straight from the show floors.
There will also be new games coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, one of which is apparently a "never before announced major franchise" - possibly Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which is touted to show up on the service at some point.
Of course, Microsoft's coverage will blanket its own stuff only. Fear not - Kikizo will be on hand at both events to bring you unfiltered news, previews and interviews.
