Konami Circles Pro Evo Date
Console (and PC) football fans will soon be taking to the field in Konami's latest series update.
Ready your markers football fans - Konami has a date for you to ring on your calendars. After months of primping and politics, the company has at last given a date for the arrival of its latest Pro Evolution Soccer title.
Konami is taking a staggered approach to the launch of Pro Evolution Soccer 6, with the three frontrunning platforms, the PC, PlayStation 2 and the Xbox 360, going first, on 27 October. This will be followed by its release on the PSP and DS "shortly after," according to a press release out today.
The release kicks off Microsoft's domination of football games in the next generation - at least in Europe. Thanks to the natural release schedules of the series and some finely crafted semantics, the Xbox 360 will be the only place to find both Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and its most direct rival, FIFA 07, until next autumn.
Pro Evolution Soccer producer Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka and his team at Konami Tokyo have gone back to make this the best one yet - or so they say. The shooting system has been completely overhauled, and that's not to mention the expanded league roster from around the world.
