Football Manager Hitting Mac, PC in October
If spreadsheets and stats are what you crave, Sega has got you covered.
It's October, which means back to school (or university or work) for most, and for many people that means boring spreadsheets. But there is at least one company that wants the idea of reams of statistics to bring a smile to your face.
Sega said on Friday that it has finished up work on the latest iteration of its football management simulation series. Football Manager 2007 will be out for PC and Mac on 20 October, with the console counterparts coming a bit later in the year.
Of course, the big question is whether it's worth upgrading. Sega makes its case by reminding us that it has added around a hundred new features to the game. It also says that Football Manger 2007 is the most user-friendly and customisable one yet.
In addition to the standard roster updates and the like, Football Manager 2007 apparently improves its club interaction system, giving you access to tomorrow's stars today at their lowly feeder club digs.
"We've taken great care to listen carefully to all the wants and needs of our loyal fans and have delivered a game that is undoubtedly our best in series," says developer Sports Interactive's Miles Jacobson.
You'll be able to see for yourself if he's fibbing soon enough.
