Rainbow Six Vegas Targets Live Demo
No, not yet, but it should be there before the end of the month. Find out when inside.
Expectation - it's a terrible thing, depending on which side you're sitting on, but with the arrival of digital distribution, publishers are better able to manage those expectations. Take Ubisoft as an example. Rainbow Six Vegas is one of the most eagerly awaited games on the Xbox 360 this year. Now the company is controlling its message directly, with a new demo coming to Xbox Live later this month.
Unlike previous entries in the popular series, Rainbow Six Vegas sticks to just one area - the titular city of vices. The demo sees you tackle one of the singleplayer missions, which is set in what Ubisoft describes as a gestating Gothic casino that is being used as hiding by terrorists.
Here you'll be able to plan out full missions, from the observation and planning stages through to the final assault. O.P.A. the company calls it.
The demo is being prepared for release on the Xbox Live Marketplace on 23 October. The final game is still expected later this year, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and there's a side-mission style game coming to the PSP too.
