Lumines Lives on Xbox Live
The Mizuguchi puzzler is now on Xbox Live - provided you can get Live to work for you.
Game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi has brought hundreds of thousands of people to his musical cause through his Lumines puzzle series. Until now, it's been tethered to Sony's portable, but starting Wednesday, Xbox 360 owners will be able to get in on it too.
Lumines Live! includes all the stuff that made it one of the most popular and acclaimed (and addictive) games on the PSP, which means music and blocks. This new version comes with a lot of new stuff too, including full online multiplayer over Xbox Live, and the ability to pass on recorded gameplay sessions to other people.
The base pack comes in at 1,200 Microsoft Points - that's about £10 - while the Advance pack, which boosts the 12-strong skins set to 34 will cost another 600 Microsoft points.
As expected, Lumines Live! will support "extensive downloadable content", though there's no word yet on exactly what's coming or when it'll be out. Early impressions suggest the game will feature more pay-to-play downloadable content than Xbox Live Arcade aficionados have seen till now.
Check out the Xbox Live Marketplace now (or as soon as Xbox Live is back online) to demo the game for free.
