Resistance Team Back on Ratchet & Clank
The next game in the gun-heavy series is already in development says Ted Price.
If you're Ted Price, the man behind the most anticipated game at the launch of the PlayStation 3, what do you do once your big project is done? Get to work on a sequel to your popular series, that's what.
In a movie that shouldn't come as much of a surprise, Price admitted this week that his team at Insomniac, now done with Resistance: Fall of Man, is already working on the next game in the popular Ratchet & Clank series.
"Those of you who are waiting for some Ratchet & Clank news, here's a quick update. We are in full production on our R&C PlayStation 3 game. That's all we can share at this time, but you'll be hearing and seeing more from us in the not-so-distant future," reads the latest newsletter from the developer.
It's too early for Insomniac to be spilling specifics, but it's a fair bet that, with the 40-player modes of Resistance: Fall of Man to learn from, the team will be giving online multiplayer even more of a boost in the next game. We can only hope that the developer doesn't decide to create a microtransaction-based shopping mall for the usual Ratchet & Clank arsenal.
