God of War Creator Spills Beer, Details
How much can you trust someone who is obviously drunk? Answer that, then see what David Jaffe had to say about the Kratos' next game.
The second game in the God of War series isn't even in the can yet and already lead designer David Jaffe is talking up another sequel - or at least he's starting to.
During a somewhat intoxicated interview with GameTrailers, Jaffe said that he has recently started thinking about the next game in Sony's popular action series.
"I started designing [God of War 3] four days ago," Jaffe said. "It doesn't mean we're in development, it just means I've got my notebook open, I've got a bunch of books in front of me, and I'm starting to think what could it be if we make it."
Jaffe stressed, though, that this was not a confirmation that the game is coming to PlayStation 3. Rather, he made it clear that if God of War 2, which is due on the PlayStation 2 early next year, does well and there is demand for another one, he and his team would love to make it happen.
He's also interested in mixing up the way people play games.
"The idea of interfacing with the game in new and fresh ways is a cool thing," he said, when asked about the possibility of using the motion-sensing Sixaxis PlayStation 3 controller.
First up for Sony's Santa Monica studio is God of War 2, which continues Kratos' blood-drenched adventures in Greek mythology. The game will be out for the PlayStation 2 this April.
