Nintendo Dates Excite Truck, WarioWare
Two new first-party games coming in the next couple months. Hooray.
Gamers not into Legend of Zelda or the overly simplistic stylings of Wii Play didn't have much to choose from in the way of first party offerings at the launch of Nintendo's new console. No matter. The company has revealed that it's bringing two more of its big hitters to Europe early in 2007.
Christmas is the time for parties and gifts, making it unfortunate that Nintendo was not able to get WarioWare: Smooth Moves out before the end of the year.
The minigame collection, based on the popular Game Boy Advance series, was there for the launch in Japan earlier this month, but Europeans are going to have to wait until 12 January to find out what the cartoony fuss is all about. The game comes with over 200 games that will have you bucking and bending to the delight of everyone laughing at you.
Excite Truck is another game that made it out on launch day - this time in the US - yet skipped over Europe. Nintendo will rectify that misdoing with the release of the game on 16 February.
It doesn't look anything the bike game that spawned but Excite Truck does adhere to the same mantra of keepings things uncomplicated. Players control their vehicles by tilting and turning the Wii remote to carve around corners or vault into the air off the omnipresent jumps.
