Nintendo Reveals Wii, DS Winter Line-Up
Little to look forward to until nearly March for Wii owners, but the DS is looking healthy.
The problem with most hardware launches is that they're followed not long after by what seems like an endless desert with little in the way of new software to quench your thirst. Nintendo is adamant that it's not going to do that with the Wii. The latest release list doesn't echo that positive sentiment.
WarioWare leads the Wii way in January
Wii owners have just two confirmed games, WarioWare Smooth Moves and Excite Truck, to look forward to until the end of February. Both of those are from Nintendo, which should ease the hurt a little. There are also nearly two dozen more Wii games due by the end of March, including a new SSX snowboarding game from EA, Sonic and the Secret Rings and Mario Party 8.
The DS, too, has been neglected over the past few months, after Nintendo shifted some of its games into 2007. That has the fortunate side effect of winter being festooned with good-looking games, such as Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Children of Mana, and the latest lawyerly adventure of Phoenix Wright.
