Guitar Hero 360 Rocks New Songs, DLC
Better graphics, 10 new songs and downloadable content - we can almost hear fans salivating.
Music games seem a natural fit for the Xbox 360, mostly because of the potential for downloading more songs through the Xbox Live Marketplace. It's always been assumed that Activision would go down this path for the Xbox 360 edition of Guitar Hero II, something the company confirmed on Tuesday.
The Xbox 360 version of the game will come with an extra 10 songs not in the PlayStation 2 version already on the disc. To add to this, Activision said it is working on exclusive downloadable content.
"The expansive capabilities of the Xbox 360 will allow us to provide a consistent stream of fresh new content to our fans, and we plan on fully supporting these efforts," said Dusty Welch of Activision-owned publisher RedOctane.
Some of the new tracks to come with the game include (original artist): Billion Dollar Babies (Alice Cooper); Hush (Deep Purple); Dead! (My Chemical Romance); Life Wasted (Pearl Jam); and Rock N Roll Hoochie Koo (Rick Derringer).
