Free Map for Call of Duty 3 on Live
It's yours now if you're a Gold member.
Christmas is over but that's not stopping generous gift givers such as Activision, which is putting out a new multiplayer map for Call of Duty 3.
The new map, called Champs, is set at Port Royal De Champs in France and will be available as a free download from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The release of the map is the latest in a growing movement among publishers to favour Xbox Live Gold members. Paying members will be able to download the maps from Friday, 12 January, while members of the free Silver service will have to wait until 18 January to get their war on.
Activision is also going to pit the developers at Treyarch again Xbox Live members during multiplayer sessions. These are scheduled to run from 6pm to 7pm GMT on 18 January. You can get more details about the developer match-up at www.callofduty.com.
