No God of War II Demo for Europe
But the full release isn't too far off now.
One of the last big games coming for the PlayStation 2 is undoubtedly God of War II. The first game came seemingly out of nowhere to swoop major awards, and big things are expected from this follow-up.
Americans will soon get a taste of the game thanks to a demo disc being sent out, but gamers outside of North America are out of luck. Director Cory Barlog said on his blog this week that time constraints meant gamers in PAL shouldn't wait for a similar taster.
"For the people who are hoping for a PAL demo, I am really, really sorry but with the time frame we have in front of us there just is not enough time to get both a PAL and NTSC demo done," Barlog wrote on his blog. "I would love to do that, but I really want to ship this game on time." ¤
God of War II continues the story of god-slayer Kratos. After felling Ares in the first game, Kratos must now journey the world to earn release from his fate.
The game is due on PlayStation 2 this April in Europe. Meanwhile, David Jaffe, creator of the series, is planning the as-yet-unannounced God of War III for PlayStation 3.
