Heavy Weapon Rumbles Onto Live
From downloadable PC game to downloadable Xbox Live Arcade game.
For a while the Xbox Live Arcade was infested with conversions of '80s arcade games, but Microsoft has again started to put out more original fare. Just announced and soon at the online store is Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank.
Created by casual game specialist PopCap Games, Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank began its life as a simple downloadable PC action game.
The concept is simple enough: take a tank, drive it to the right, and shoot everything out of the sky and ahead of you. That simple idea is stretched over 19 levels and three modes, including a mission mode where you make your way through the main game, a survival mode that throws ever more enemies at you until you die, and a boss-only mode that lets you go up against the bigger enemies.
Battle doesn't need to be lonesome thanks to multiplayer that supports up to four players and a co-op mode where you and a friend can play through the mission mode together.
Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank is up on the Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, 17 January.
