Lost Planet Finds Chart Success
Capcom has another winner on the Xbox 360, but will it do even better than Dead Rising?
Capcom said recently that it was hoping for big things for its new action game, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, which it hoped could outsell its last Xbox 360 exclusive, Dead Rising. Things are getting off to a good start.
Lost Planet ended on top of the most recent UK sales chart, according to Chart Track, ahead of Wario Ware: Smooth Moves and the regular football duo of FIFA 07 and Pro Evolution Soccer 6.
Outside of these, though, new games are running low as the yearly post-Christmas lull settles in.
Wiis are heading back into stores too, nearly doubling over last week, and that's allowed a resurgence of Wii games. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess jumped back into the Top 10 from No. 36 the week before and Wii Play was back in the Top 20 too.
The Top 10 games for the week ending 13 January, as determined by Chart Track, are below:
- Lost Planet: Extreme Condition (Capcom)
- Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (Nintendo)
- FIFA 07 (EA)
- Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Konami)
- Need For Speed: Carbon (EA)
- Canis Canem Edit (Rockstar)
- The Sims 2: Pets (EA)
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo)
- Gears of War (Microsoft)
- Call of Duty 3 (Activision)
